Major Milestone
One Page for Match & Tailor, and Credits You Don't Lose
The free job-description match and the paid tailor are now a single page — check your gaps, then close them without navigating anywhere. Plus refunds when a run fails, and full control over the variants you have paid for.
- 🔗 Match and Tailor on One Page: The free JD diagnosis and the paid rewrite merged into
/tools/resume-job-description-match. Signed in? Your published résumé pre-fills automatically, a source selector shows exactly which résumé is in play, and the tailor runs inline. The separate tailor page is gone, and its old links redirect. - 💰 We Stop Charging for Our Own Failures: A tailor that errors, times out, or closes zero gaps is refunded. Runs that died mid-flight are swept and refunded automatically, and the account page separates finished variants from incomplete attempts instead of quietly counting both.
- ✏️ Name and Rename Your Variants: Name a version before you save it — or rename it any time afterwards from the variant page. Previously a variant whose job ad didn't parse cleanly was stuck with a date-stamped name, and the only way to change it was deleting work you had paid for. You can also delete any variant straight from the list.
- 🔍 Stricter Evidence Behind Every Claim: A fragment of a line no longer counts as evidence for a coverage claim, and the rewrite can no longer delete vocabulary your résumé was already matching on. You see the match change at the moment you decide, not after.
- 🙅 We Never Invent Your Name: When a résumé's name can't be read with confidence we now ask you for it rather than guessing — and a placeholder like Your Name can no longer reach a public page. Over-long headlines are dropped instead of being shipped as your page title.
- 🎯 Target Role & Company: Optional fields that sharpen the rewrite and name the variant. When a job ad's opening line is a sentence rather than a title, we decline to guess instead of turning a paragraph into your headline.
- ▶️ Guided Tool Walkthroughs: Visual step-throughs on tool pages, a
Tools & Guideslink in the header, live character counters and instant validation on the tailor form, and error messages that say what actually went wrong. - 🖼️ GitHub Avatars Render Again: A content-security fix restores profile images on published GitHub portfolios.
